At Castilla Fiddle, we offer the perfect opportunity to learn how to play folk music in a fun and welcoming environment. Our group classes are tailored to fit all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced players. Our goal is to not only teach our students how to play the fiddle, but also to create a community of people who share a passion for this type of music. Participants
The Folkestra is open to anyone who has an interest in folk and traditional music, with any instrument and of any level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
In Spain, the traditional music of each region has found its own form of expression through specific instruments that we now consider traditional instruments. Instruments are just that, instruments. So, why not use that instrument you already play to learn music from your land?
We have had violin, piano, guitar, clarinet, harp, double bass, cello, bouzouki, viola, oboe, percussion and it's a real joy! We are always open to integrate new sounds.
Workshops
Every month we do something different, like building our own panderos cuadrados (with wood and tape) or learning to play the "Pizze-reta"!
